I read this book until I felt feverish. I couldn't stop. I felt like the main character.
I can't imagine that anyone wouldn't be affected by this book. It is actually how life is. It isn't turning characters into cliche speaking dorks who would never catch a boy's eye (let alone the hottest guy in school. Don't get me started). The characters are real people. It isn't pretty. But it is real.
Read this one.

Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins
1/5 Stars.
I can't. I just can't .
I feel bad but I tried a couple of times because the media lady recommended it, but it sounds like Sophie is 12 not 15. And I think someone around the age of 12 might like this a little bit better than I did because the sentences were ridiculous. "The carpet in this room was also green, and it felt soft" and "so slender he was almost skinny" (doesn't that mean the same thing?) the 'snottiest tone ever' competition. No one my age would say that. Their moms would. Or a teacher. (Then I checked the author bio)
Too much telling Sophie (aka me) about the school and the creatures at the beginning. I felt like I needed to take notes. Too many cliches. I'd rather do my homework.

BOOK review: Angus, Thongs and Full-Front Snogging by Louise Rennison
I had no idea what I was getting into when I picked up this book. It's won awards, so you never know how THAT sort of book is going to be.
So. Funny.
It takes so much for me to actually laugh out loud, but ATAFFS did the trick. (I'm now referring to the book as 'a taffs' b/c I keep talking about it to everyone and the nickname is catchy.)
I wish I had a Georgia in my life. She'd be my best friend.
Read this one when you need a good laugh.

MOVIE Review: City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
I read all the time but I've avoided reading The Mortal Instruments because I love Harry Potter and I've heard that it feels to similar to HP.
Movie. I give it a solid 3.5. Entertaining, and yes I see HP similarities. But I enjoyed it. I liked the characters and the story kept me engaged. Nothing like that horrible Beautiful Creatures disaster.
I will now be reading the books.
